Civil Engineering

In year 2009, the department of Civil Engineering was established at BBDEC. The vision of the department is to give an exposure to civil engineers to face various challenges in the profession.
The department aims to promote a culture where research work, seminars and various training programs empowers the technical academic teaching to the students. The well-established laboratories and industrial visits helps the students to have good practical and field knowledge. The department aims in grooming the students in terms of their soft skills, technical knowledge and prepare them for future job opportunities.

Civil engineers may work for:

• Private engineering consultancies
• Regional and local government authorities
• Government agencies, such as the Land Transport Authority
• Construction firms and property developers
• Infrastructure and utility companies, such as railway and electricity companies.
