The Department of Applied Science has been started with a mission to impart knowledge of practical application of fundamental mathematics and basic sciences. The department has a team of enthusiastic and dynamic young dedicated faculty members well known for the excellence in the respective fields of research work. The team consists of 10 Faculty members (2 Professors, 1 Associate Professors, and 7 Assistant Professors). The department has research publications/ presentations in reputed national/international conferences/journals.

Applied Sciences forms a bridge connecting pure basic sciences of physics, chemistry and mathematics with engineering practices. The department is committed to providing human values along with the quality education and professional standards to the vibrant student community. We educate students with individual attention and provide world class quality education and aim at character building as well. The department is progressing exponentially with a vision for developing efficient and technically sound students to outperform in their careers and professions.

Right from its inception the department has striven to set high standards of teaching. The department has succeeded in this endeavor over the years.

The department offers core courses in Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry and Applied Mathematics.

Department Of Physics

“Physics is the branch of science that deals with inanimate world and its natural phenomena.”

The department has been established with the mission of imparting quality education in the field of Physics at Undergraduate level. The main objective of the department is in “The pursuit of academic excellence and better understanding of the concepts both in theory and practical from fundamental level to its applications”. It has well equipped laboratory to offer practical training as per the academic requirements of APJAKTU, Lucknow.

Department Of Chemistry

“Chemistry is the scientific study of interaction of chemical substances. Chemistry is often called “the central science” because it connects the other natural sciences such as biology, astronomy, material science and geology.”

Department of Chemistry has been teaching Engineering Chemistry for all the branches of engineering at the first year level and elective subjects in higher semester to provide basic chemistry knowledge. The department has been training the students in theory and laboratory practices for a thorough understanding of the subject in order to produce engineering graduates with knowledge of finer aspects of chemistry to understand the latest technologies. The department has spacious and well equipped laboratory to train students to improve their practical skills. To incorporate latest techniques & methods in academics to enhance the results & performances of students.

Department Of Mathematics

Mathematics as conceived by Aristotle is “the science of quantity”. The three leading types of mathematics are called logicist, intuitionist and formalist, each reflecting a different philosophical school of thought.

Mathematics is indispensable for the engineering community. The department provides a strong foundation of Mathematical basics which are building blocks of all subjects of engineering fields. The department provides the best quality education in mathematical fundamentals to all the students of the institute.

The Department of Mathematics strives to maintain high standards of teaching Applied Mathematics in various branches of engineering and to prepare students for leading roles in education, science, business, industry, and other careers. The faculty gives utmost care to bridge the curriculum and the modern needs. The faculty also collaborates with other researchers in solving engineering and scientific problems to produce well trained professionals with high standards of academic excellence, innovative research capabilities, ethical conduct and integrity.

Department Of Professional Communication & Humanities

Professional communication, encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication within a workplace context. The field is closely related to that of technical communication, though professional communication encompasses a wider variety of skills.
It’s role is to listen to other people’s ideas, whilst being able to clearly and effectively communicate your own. Communication serves five major purposes: to inform, to express feelings, to imagine, to influence, and to meet social expectations. Therefore, the subject holds great importance in developing overall personality of growing technical employees.
For an engineering educator, it is vital to inculcate in the engineering students, the importance of studying humanities that can open up their minds to the use of creative ideas from great minds outside of science. Humanities study can strengthen the ability of engineers to work and communicate with others. Therefore, humanities develop informed and critical citizens.
